One of the things I do in my spare time is geocaching. I don't expect a whole lot of people to know what that means, every time I tell someone not involved in the sport that I'm a geocacher, I always get a blank look before the inevitable question: What on earth is geocaching?

The answer I most like to use is that it's like a giant worldwide treasure hunt whereby individuals with GPS (Global Positioning System) trackers can hunt down caches left hidden by other geocachers, who have uploaded the geographical co-ordinates of the cache to a website - Geocaching.com. If you want to know more, I suggest you check out the website, it tells you everything you need to know.

I entered the sport through a good friend of mine who had a GPS tracker, and I eventually purchased my own. Now, I'm not about to set up my own rival geocache website (!), but I did think there was room on the web for something I haven't seen anywhere before, which I think would be of use to both geocachers and anybody who just happens to own a GPS tracker. The following lists give the geographical co-ordinates for major transport links in the UK. Initially this will be limited to places on the rail, coach, and London Underground networks that I frequent, but will slowly be built up over time. If you would like to submit co-ordinates for the list that I have not covered myself, or report possible errors, please send me an e-mail, and you will be credited accordingly, though any locations I have not been to and checked myself will be noted as such.

Please also note that some of the co-ordindates might not be spot on the entranceway, due to poor reception for GPS in built up areas, but in general I have tried to keep my accuracy better than 150 feet when marking, and usually it is much better than this. Also note that, where there are multiple entrances to a location, especially with the London Underground, I have marked only one. Finally, if you find this resource useful in anyway, please do let me know!
