Threads
The Hamster

If our creator had a needle in one hand
When he wove out these barren lands
And then sewed details into
Everything we see

All Planet Earth with it's life so lush and rich
Being created stitch by stitch
And as for everyone
By this analogy

We are threads in the tapestry of time
And threads may fray or intertwine
We form a brand new canvas
Everytime we meet

And we can change the patterns of each others lives
In subtles shades and striking lines
But we will only be tied off
When our picture is complete

Some might say the colours of your pattern clash
I say that this is balderdash
To live a unique life
You need a unique mind

It wouldn't work so well if we were all the same
Life is an artwork not a game
There are no strategies
There's just one grand design

For all the threads in the tapestry of time
And threads may fray or intertwine
We form a brand new canvas
Everytime we meet

And we can change the patterns of each others lives
In subtles shades and striking lines
But we will only be tied off
When our picture is complete

Sometimes your life may seem somewhat unkind
And all your other threads unwind
You feel abandoned and
Your tapestry seems bleak

Just remember when you feel your most alone
No tapestry is monochrome
And you'll find complementary
Colours if you seek

Out other threads in the tapestry of time
And threads may fray or intertwine
We form a brand new canvas
Everytime we meet

And we can change the patterns of each others lives
In subtles shades and striking lines
But we will only be tied off
When our picture is complete
